Market Closures, Early Closes, and Special Trading Sessions
The session label determines whether a date means no cash-equity trading or a changed trading window.
Full Market Closures
The named cash-equity venue does not hold its regular session. A closure at one exchange should not be applied automatically to another country, another venue, or a bond and derivatives market.
Early Closes and Half Trading Days
Trading takes place for part of the day. Use the local close time and IANA time zone shown in the monthly list, then convert it to the time zone used by your order, settlement, or operations team.
Special Trading Sessions
A special session, late open, or settlement-only date is not a full closure. Read the official venue notice before assuming that normal order types, clearing, or settlement windows are available.
Stock Market Holidays 2027: Official Schedule Status
Only exchange calendars already released by their official venue are shown with 2027 dates. No 2027 schedule is copied from 2026 or inferred from a national public-holiday calendar.

Are stock exchanges closed on the same holidays in every country?
No. Each exchange follows its own venue calendar, national rules, and product schedule. Even exchanges that share a holiday name may close on different dates or reopen at different local times.
Are NYSE and Nasdaq holiday schedules always the same?
Their U.S. cash-equity holiday schedules are often aligned, but users should still check both official calendars when a product, early close, or venue-specific notice matters.
Are bond market holidays the same as stock market holidays?
Not necessarily. Bond-market recommendations and fixed-income trading hours can differ from NYSE, Nasdaq, or another cash-equity venue. This page does not treat a stock-exchange record as a bond-market schedule.
Does a public holiday always close the stock market?
No. Some public holidays are normal trading days, and some exchange holidays or shortened sessions are not general public holidays. Use the official exchange calendar instead of inferring a closure from a country calendar.
